ON or about 1500H of Feb. 03 , a 70-foot high scaffolding collapsed
in a thermal plant of the Solcon Power Corp., located in Barangay Malaya,
Pililla, Rizal.
The NDRRMC report added that a rescue team from Solcon Power
“conducted the initial rescue operation and was later assisted by a rescue team
of the Pililla Municipal Police Station and Bureau of Fire Protection.”
It added that the Antipolo City Rescue Team, the Rodriguez
(Montalban) Rescue Team, Pasig City Rescue
and Morong Volunteers Emergency Response Team, and Tanay
Mountaineers assisted in the search, rescue and retrieval operation.
The municipal police station of Pililla, Rizal is conducting
investigation regarding the cause of the incident while the labor department is
closely coordinating with the management of Solcon Power for the actions being
undertaken by the company.
